Pet Shelter Need Your Help!

If you think you're too broke to make a donation, THINK AGAIN! Animal shelters are struggling with an ever-growing number of homeless dogs and cats. The Shelter's need for cash AND supplies is dire! Now more than ever donations can do a world of good for our lost and homeless pet population!

Want to Hear a Sad Story?

I once worked in a city animal shelter. The number of pets that ended up in just that one shelter was heartbreaking! It was an absolutely gut-wrenching and tragic reality.

Because our, like most shelters, was not-for-profit, we had few supplies to work with. Feeding bowls, toys, collars & leashes, blankets to lay on , cleaning & bathing supplies, just to name a few! Each of these items cost only a few dollars, yet-it wasn't in our budget.

I saw firsthand the enormous impact a single donation can make, no matter how big or small. And If you can't donate cash, consider donating goods, instead!

Here's a Sample of What $3 Can Buy:
  • 3-5 cans of cat or dog food
  • 1 small box of dry food
  • 1 or 2 pet bowls
  • A leash or collar
  • A Pet comb or brush
  • A Cat or dog toy
  • A bottle of baby or pet shampoo
  • 3 bottles of bleach
  • A can of lysol disinfectant spray
And much more!

There is a whole heap of things those pets need from us!

Think about the stuff we end up throwing away. Clean out the attic, under the sink, in the cellar, or garage for cleaning supplies.  Gather some old blankets, linens, towels, or clothes, for cleaning rags, bathing and drying. Even old curtain panels come in handy-I bet they'd rather sleep on those instead of a wire cage or cold cement floor!

Call your local shelter before getting rid of ANY of these:

  • Pet toys, food, or treats for all age pets
  • Old towels, linens, blankets to keep them warm
  • Old pillows or pet beds to sleep on
  • Paper towels, rubber gloves, hand sanitizer, and bleach for cleaning
  • Feeding bowls, collars, and leashes
  • Disinfectants, spray cleaners, rags or sponges, etc.
